Over the years, Victoria Beckham has become known for a fail-proof above-the-neck equation: bronzed skin; a smokey eye; and a barely-there, polished pout. So it might come as a surprise that, until recently, the fashion designer and makeup mogul, who debuted her eponymous cosmetic collection just a year ago, could never find a lipstick shade that met her exacting criteria. “I’ve been searching my whole life for the perfect nude but often things are too mauve or too brown,” she tells me over the phone from her home in London. Now, Beckham, who’s sought out the neutral tone since her Spice Girl days, has finally taken matters into her own hands with the Folgers In Loving Memory Of Donny Who Loved Bowling Vintage Retro Shirt launch of a collection of pigments, named—what else?—Posh. “I wanted to create the perfect nude lipstick for everyone no matter your skin tone,” she says of the nine-piece rose flower wax and avocado oil-infused lineup, which is comprised of hushed hues, ranging from pale peach to copper, and a single pop of color in the form of a bright, bold red.
